How the Scawbrig acts.
The Scawbrig has a noseband with a ring on both sides. The Scawbrig is characterized by a strap that sits under the horse's chin and has a soft cushion. There are two rings on this chin strap that go through the rings attached to the noseband. This unique system ensures that the noseband does not rotate with the rein aids.

If the pressure is exerted via both reins, the pressure is applied to the horse's chin via the chin strap, and the noseband closes around the horse's nose. The pressure on the chin and nose will cause the horse to yield, yield through pressure. As soon as the pressure is released via the reins, the noseband will open again, and the pressure will disappear. Due to the good release, light communication with your horse is possible.

The Scawbrig can also be used as a Side Pull; this is recommended when riding with a Scawbrig. To do this, use a rein with clip closure and attach the clip through both the ring of the chin strap and the noseband.

Use

The Scawbrig can be used during work in hand, long lines, lunging, and driving. The Scawbrig is an ideal system for the "young" horse that responds well to leg aids and responds reasonably to sitting aids, and is steerable. The bridle is less suitable for riding into the horse because the aids for turning via the rein are less clear than with a standard Side Pull system.

Voor het eerst bitloos na 27 jaar met bit met dit paard. Fijn hoofdstel. Het paard luistert goed.
