A barebackpad is a pad with a girth that you can use to replace the saddle. In the pony shop of Art of Riding, you will find different bareback pads in different price ranges. Riding with stirrups on a barebackpad is only recommended by us for the riders who have little or no balance. We strongly advise: do not ride in the rising troth if stirrups are attached to the bareback pad. The Waldhausen pony saddle and riding pad is a pony saddle and suitable for also riding in the rising troth.
For children it is good to ride on a barebackpad, to increase their balance and an independent seat. Important with a barebackpad or riding saddle is that it is not too long for the pony's back.
