The FRA Macon Extra bareback pad from merino wool and supplied with 3Mesh inserts. The inserts are located under the seat on each side in separate pockets and leave the horse's spine free. The inserts can be exchanged or renewed. The bareback pad conforms to the anatomy of the horse's back. Lambswool regulates temperature and moisture, is antibacterial, elastic, and very strong. At the front is a pad for support on the thigh.
De Macon Extra is supplied without girth. Instead, a dressage girth can be attached to this bareback pad. Different models of dressage girths are available separately.
At Both the Macon and the Macon Extra from FRA can a stirrup attached. Stirrups can be attached for safety reasons so that the rider has light support on the stirrup during critical moments. However, it is firmly not recommended to ride in the rising troth due to the pressure point load on the horse's back.
Materials and construction layers:
Let the woolen bareback air dry after use so that the moisture can evaporate. Brush the wool regularly to remove dried dirt and keep the wool fluffy.
The GDP of wool can be washed in the washing machine at 30 degrees Celsius with a special wool detergent. We recommend cleaning the wool pad by hand with a bit of wool detergent (suitable for the BBP) and letting it air dry. Remove the 3Mesh inserts from the pockets before washing.
